Xi'an South Railway Station

Located in the southwest of Xi'an city, Xi'an South Railway Station (Xi'annan Railway Station) is one of the central hub stations of Xi’an Chongqing High-speed Railway, Xi’an-Wuhan High-speed Railway, Xi’an-Changsha High-speed Railway and Xi’an-Chengdu High-speed Railway. The station will have 13 platforms, and the station building is expected to be 150,000 square meters. Metro Line 6, Line 12, Line 16 and Line 23 will be connected to the railway station in the future.

At present, the station is under planning and when it will open is still unknown.
 On February 28th, 2023, "Yinzhen Railway Station" replaced "Xi'annan Railway Station" as the new name of the south-eastern railway station in Xi'an. With three platforms, the station mainly operates Xi'an-Ankang Railway. Located in the suburban area, the station is about 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) from the Bell Tower in the city center. The public transportation to/from downtown is not convenient. If possible, passengers are advised to use Xi'an Railway Station or Xi'an North Railway Station instead, which is 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) and 45 kilometers (28 miles) from Yinzhen Station respectively.

South Railway Station is a major stop along Xi'an – Ankang Railway. It mainly operates normal trains to/from Hangzhou, Chengdu, Qingdao, Wuhan and Hohhot.

 This is a small and remote train station. There is only a one-storey terminal building and a front square. The ticket office is located on the east side of the station. Passengers can purchase, refund or change tickets there. After entering the station, passengers can see the waiting area where drinking water and toilets can be easily found.

 Note: All buses cost CNY 2. Bus Line S786 only operates in the morning and evening, and the frequent Bus Line 752 and 739 are more recommended.

Tip: As this station is pretty far from the downtown area, some drivers are not willing to go. In this case, passengers may choose to carpool by unlicensed cab, which costs about CNY 30 per person to the downtown area.

Take bus no. 752 to Intersection of Shenzhou 4th Rd. and Feitian Rd.
Walk northward to take line 4 at Feitian Rd. to Xi’an Railway Station

 Xi'an North Train Station
Take bus no. 752 to Shenzhou 4th Rd. 
Walk about 200 meters (219 yards) to Feitian Rd. to take metro line 2 to Xi’an North Railway Station.

 Bell Tower
Take bus no. 920 to Jinhutuo.
Then take bus no. 603 to the Bell Tower.

 Giant Wild Goose Pagoda
Take bus no. 752 to Intersection of Shenzhou 4th Rd. and Feitian Rd.
Walk northward to take line 4 at Feitian Rd. to Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. (From North Square of Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, tourists can take bus no. 24/19/254 to Shaanxi History Museum.)

 To City Wall
Take bus no. 752 to Intersection of Shenzhou 4th Rd. and Feitian Rd.
Walk northward to take line 4 at Feitian Rd. to Yongningmen.
Walk for northward for about 200 meters (219 yards) to South Gate Square of City Wall.
