Xi'an Metro Line 3 is an important rail artery crossing the city in the shape of a half-hoop, and passes by attractions like Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and Qinglong Temple. It also links several commercial areas & transportation hubs such as Yuhuazhai, Xiaozhai, Jixiangcun and Xinjiamiao. It is one of Xi'an metros with a section on a viaduct so that passengers on it can have a panoramic view of the scenery of the city.

With a length of about 39 kilometers (24 miles), Xi'an subway line 3 shuttles between Yuhuazhai in the southwest and Baoshuiqu in the northeast. Among its 26 stations in total, 19 are underground and the other seven from Taohuatan to Xinzhu are above the ground. The ticket fare is CNY 2 - 8. To finish a whole trip, it takes around 1 hour and 10 minutes.
