Xi'an Metro Line 1 starts at Xianyang West Railway Station in the west and ends at Fangzhicheng in the east. It has a total length of about 42 kilometers (26 miles) and has 30 stations. The section travels through the ancient Xi'an City Wall underground with junctions under Yuxiangmen and Chaoyangmen.

A single journey takes about 70 minutes between Fangzhicheng and Xianyang West Railway Station in Xianyang City. Along this metro line, passengers can transfer to Xi'an Metro Line 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, and 16.
