Hangzhou - Fuzhou Train

The high speed railway between Hangzhou East Railway Station and Fuzhou Railway Station/ Fuzhou South Railway Station provides a good travel experience for all passengers in the 3 to 6 hours journey. Around 45 pairs of bullet trains and a pair of normal speed overnight sleeper trains are available from the early morning to the late afternoon. A second class seat for a high speed ride costs CNY 219 to CNY 304.5.

Among high speed trains, those with the code starting with letter G all use Fuzhou Railway Station; the durations are usually less than 4 hours. The majority of D types use Fuzhou South Railway Station, with durations being about 5 hours. Please read your ticket carefully to avoid mistaking the railway station.

Do you think the journey in between is not speedy enough? A new high speed railway will be under construction in late 2018 and is expected to be completed before the Asian Games, which will be held in Hangzhou in the year of 2022. Once this railway is completed, the high speed train journey between the two cities will be shortened to one hour!

What is difference between first and second class seating

It is mainly the issue of space. First class seat carriage has more space for each passenger since only 4 seats arranged for each row. Second class seat carriage arrange 5 setas in each row.

Considering the duration and ticket price, I think G type is better. However, this depends on your schedule as well. There are more D rides a day than G ride. Not sure if you can find a G type fit your time.
