Shanghai-Fuzhou Train

There are nearly 30 pairs of trains in total running between the two cities. About 28 pairs of them are bullet trains with duration of 4.5 – 7 hours; and only one pair is normal types taking about 15/16 hours.

Flight is another option for passengers. It takes about 2 hours for the whole journey. But the airports are located in the outskirts, and usually it needs another 2 hours or so to transfer between the city center and airport. Thus, the total time for flight journey is almost the same as high speed rail journey. Besides, the flight is more easily influenced by the weather as both the cities are in coastal area, so delays happen more frequently.

High Speed Trains

Around the Fuzhou Railway Station, passengers can takes bus, or taxis to the downtown area; and coaches are also available for passengers to go to the nearby cities. The South . G types runs faster than D types, so they cost a little more, too.

The D types run between Hongqiao Railway Station and Fuzhou South Railway Station at a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h), the distance is 549 miles (883 km). The duration is around 6 – 7 hours.
