Generally speaking, flights are more attractive to those who leave less time on the trip but have good financial conditions and bullet trains are more welcomed among travelers who have enough time and limited budget.

To visit China mainland, you need to apply for a visa at first. Currently, there is no direct bullet train from HK to Chongqing, you need to make a transfer in Guangzhou.

Hi! By using G319 or G320, you do not need to transfer in any other stations. Chongqing West is the final/beginning station. They do pass both Guangzhou South and Guiyang, however, you do not need to get off there.

Public transfer from Chongqing West to No 7 Zhongxing Road Jiaochangkou
I have a hostel booked near Jiaochangkou metro exit. Is there any convenient way for public transfer as I see that there is no metro line at West Station.

You can consider bus G01 from West Station to Jiefangbei and then walk to your hostel, but it is about 1.2km, so it takes some efforts in a city like Chongqing. Or you may be you can take a taxi to Gaomiaocun metro station and then take metro line 1 to Jiaochangkou.

Hong Kong-Guangzhou-Guilin-Chongqing
Hello, I plan to go to Guangzhou first for 3 days visiting and then take a train to Guilin and stay another 3 days. Then continue the trip to Chongqing. I noticed that these rides from Guangzhou to Chongqing will also stop at Guilin. Can I buy a ticket to the finally stop Chongqing but alright at Guilin first. After my visiting I can continue the trip with same ticket to the final stop?

Well, if you need to alright at Guilin first, you need separate tickets. If you alright at Guilin, the ticket can no longer be used for the rest part. So you would need totally 3 tickets for this journey.
