It's advised to arrive at the train station at least 30 minutes before the departure. If you are not familiar with the procedure and station, give it 1-1.5 hours.

It is available to transit in Zhengzhou. However, the best way is transiting in Guangzhou South and the total travel time is around 8.5 hours, shorter than 10 hours via Zhengzhou. Pre-booking train tickets is very necessary.
At present, a self testing antigen test within 48 hours is needed when entering China. I'm not sure if the policy will change in September.

Thank you for your inquiry.
For ticket booking, passenger information is a must. We are not able to book ticket without passenger information. You may book the tickets after you get detailed passport numbers. However, if the child is under 150cm, you may buy child ticket by using one of the adult passenger information. Hope this information can help you.
