If you take the high speed train, all the immigration procedures are at Hong Kong West Kowloon railway station.

It depends. If you have paper ticket in hand, 30 or 40min is enough. If you only have confirmation in hand but no paper ticket, you need to exchange the paper ticket first. In this way, you may need to prepare about 1.5 hours at the station for this collection and boarding. It is a big station and the line for collection can be long.

Not sure about your question. The distance to HK should be closer than GZ, but to HK, you need to go through immigration, so there is a visa problem.

There are many bullet rides a day between, the closest station with bullet rides should be the North Station and Futian Station. The ticket price for a second class seat is around CNY82 per person, depending on the ride you choose. From the North Station or Futian Station, the high speed G rides takes around 30min. For the rturn trip, there are also many rides a day.
