pre booking

Do you need to pre book? Do these trains (Shenzhen to Guilin) get very full? Or can we get one at the station or near the time online like 4 days before?

It's more advised to book in advance. It's kind of risky to buy ticket on the departure day as there is possibility they are sold out. And you can book 4 days before as long as you don't travel on holidays.

I want to know the opening time of Shenzhen North Station

The working time of a station depends on train schedule. For Shenzhen North Station, it usually opens around 6am in the morning and will be closed after 11pm. The working time will be adjusted if the train schedule changed. Hope this information can help you a little.

Hello, is there anyone knows which station is closer to our hostel? West or North?

We are staying at Secret Courtyard Resort Hotel and plan to take afternoon train to Shenzhen. I am not sure which station should we choose and how early should we depart from hostel to catch the train in time. Any advice will be appreciated!

The North Station is a little bit closer. You'd better take a taxi which takes around 30min. You need to reach the station 1.5 hours in advance for ticket collection, direction and safety check. If you have the tickets in hand, 40min should be enough for safety check and finding your checkin gate.

Can I buy a ticket from Guilin to Shenzhen but get on the train from Yangshuo?

I need a ticket on April 23 but all the tickets are sold out. Can I buy a ticket from Guilin to Shenzhen on G2901 and hop on from Yangshuo.

It is a pity that your plan cannot work. Passengers can hop on from halfway, but the problem is that G2901 does not stop in Yangshuo! It pass by directly with no stop. So you would need a plan B like to make a transfer in Guilin or bus.
