Shanghai - Huangshan Train

Currently, around 74 pairs of high speed trains are running between Shanghai and Huangshan with travel time of about 2 - 5.5 hours. The  distance is 447 km (278 mi) and a second class seat costs CNY 174 - 424.

Besides, coaches are available between the two cities, and it takes about 5.5 - 8 hours for the whole journey. The ticket fare for a seat is CNY 138 - 151, cheaper than the bullet ones, but traveling by coaches may not be that comfortable and coaches are not as punctual as high speed rail.

 Huangshan North Railway Station  is a little bit far from the Yellow Mountain and other scenic areas. But upon arrival, you can find special sightseeing buses to get to the South Gate of Yellow Mountain Scenic Area, Hongcun Ancient Village, Shexian County (Yuliangba) and Chengkan Village, etc. It's very convenient.
