This is probably the most time-saving way to travel between Kunming and Huangshan nowadays because there is no direct flights in service.
To travel in the above way, passengers need to transfer between Hefei Airport and Hefei South Railway Station. The airport shuttle bus line 3 is running between with the duration of around an hour. If by taxi, it also takes about an hour costing around CNY 120.
Passengers can also choose to make this transfer in Hangzhou. The overall duration by is around 5 hours.

The most efficient way to reach Huangshan from Kunming
Is it recommended to use high speed train transfer option or the flight to Hefei and then to Huangshan by high speed rail?

The fastest way should be by flight, but I would recommend Shanghai for transfer. It is important to choose Shanghai Hongqiao Airport as your landing airport so it is convenient to change to train service at Hongqiao Railway Station nearby.

Do I get one ticket for the whole trip or two different tickets? Will the service fee charged for one leg or both?
