Recommended Travel Route

Boarding Gate for K9619 at Dali Station
Kunming, Dali, and Lijiang are regarded as the three most famous attraction sites in Yunnan Province. Once going to Yunnan, tourists wouldn't like to miss any one of them. But how can one travel to the three places without wasting a lot of time and costing too much? The recommended route is like below:

As Kunming is the capital city with more train and flight arrivals, you can get there first. After touring around, take an overnight train to Dali where you can travel around for 2 to 3 days. Later, continue the rail ride to Lijiang to experience the leisurely life in the old town. Both of the two rail rides are not too long and you can buy a hard seat to save money. Of course, if you want to travel more comfortably, sleepers will be better choices.

For return trip, there is no need to make a stop in Dali, hence the rail ride will be somehow longer and it is recommended to get you a sleeper. If you feel exhausted, you can fly to Kunming and then leave Yunnan. Or if there is a flight to your next destination from Lijiang, you can depart there.

 Major Attractions:
In Kunming: Stone Forest, Dianchi Lake

In Dali: Dali Ancient City, Erhai Lake, Mt. Cangshan, Three Pagodas

In Lijiang: Lijiang Old Town, Lugu Lake, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Shuhe Ancient Town

Thank you very much for your friendly service. Everything went as we planned, we collected all the tickets without any problem. The only inconvenient we encounted was the hard sleepers next to the toilet and we could not sleep all night because of the smelling of pee and cigarettes...
    We've learned from it.

    Again thanks for everything

I took a train from Lijiang to Kunming. I suffered terrible traffic jam, and I was late. When I arrived at Lijiang train station, my train was gone. I was so upset at train station. Then I called my travel consultant of travelchinaguide to check what I should do. They got my problem quickly and inform me a good news about ticket change. I was so happy to know. I gave my phone to the counter staff and consultant of travelchinaguide talked to them about it. I changed the ticket and used the ticket without any problem. Thanks a lot....More

Your service is a big help for our trip to Lijiang from Kunming. Because of the traffic jam in the rush hour, we missed our bullet train. What’s worse, it was the last high speed train. We had no idea and supposed we could not leave Kunming that night. However, you helped us to change the tickets to the sleeper tickets on the overnight trains and we got some ticket price refunded. It was wonderful.

I have an unfortunate experience about train bookings in china because apparently they are very serious about the passanger's name and the order of my name got mixed up. We do not have separation of surname and given name in Indonesian passport, and I entered my name in your app incorrectly. After requiring our passport images, your staff amended this mistake and confirmed that my name in the ticket confirmation is on the right order. It was very helpful service.
