Special Services of Hong Kong Airport Express

Hong Kong Airport Express (AE) passengers can enjoy complimentary services, namely in-town check-in service, free WIFI, hotel shuttle buses, station car park and  MTR connections.

It is provided by hotels exclusively for Airport Express passengers traveling between Hong Kong or Kowloon stations and major hotels and railway interchanges. Passengers are required to show proof of eligibility including AE train tickets (Single Journey, Same Day Return, Round Trip, Airport Express Travel Pass), Airline ticket / boarding pass, Airport Staff Octopus Card, AsiaWorld-Expo entry pass or event ticket.

 The service is available for Cathay Pacific at Hong Kong Station. Airport Express Passengers may check-in as early as one day in advance or as late as 90 minutes before take-off. The service hours is 06:00 am - 03:00 pm. Note that this service is not available at other MTR stations or for other airlines.

Starting from 22 September 2023, passengers of Cathay Airlines with electronic travel documents are able to use the smart Check-in Kiosks in the in-town check-in area.

 Airport Express passengers who use the same Octopus Card with sufficient balance can enjoy free MTR connection. It enables passengers to travel between express trains at HK, Kowloon or Tsing Yi stations and interconnecting MTR lines including Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau stations (except light rail, MTR bus and East Rail Line First Class Seat) free of charge within an hour.
   In-train Wi-Fi Service
Passengers who have electronic items equipped with Wi-Fi can surf the Internet by using the high-speed wireless broadband during the express train trip.

  Free In-train Power Charging Service in designated cars
During the trip, passengers won't need to worry about low batteries on laptops and mobile phones. Carriages no.1 and 7 of the express train have in-train power charging facilities.
