How to Travel from Hong Kong Airport to Guangzhou

The distance from Hong Kong airport (HKIA) to Guangzhou is around 170 kilometers (105 miles) and there are 3 ways to travel between:

1. The first choice is to take the Airport Express to Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station and then take a train to arrive in Guangzhou, taking at least HKD350 and 70-80min.

2. Ferries take about 140 minutes. The ticket price is HKD300 for a standard class seat.
Note that the HKIA - Guangzhou ferry is only available for passengers leaving from the airport.

3. Long-distance bus arriving at some hotels in Guangzhou with a travel time of around 3 hours cost HKD230.

1. Fastest Airport Express / Shuttle Bus + Train

Airport Express + High Speed Train: 70-80 minutes, from HKD350

→ Take the Hong Kong Airport Express from Hong Kong International Airport to Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station: 21 minutes, HKD100

→ Take a high speed train from West Kowloon Railway Station to Guangzhou South Railway Station: 50-60 minutes, CNY452 – 645 / HKD528 - 754 for a business class seat, CNY323 – 344 / HKD378 - 402 for a first class seat, and CNY215/ HKD250 for a second class seat

Bus + High Speed Train: 100 - 110 minutes, from HKD290

→ Take the bus line A22 from Hong Kong International Airport to West Kowloon Railway Station: 60 minutes, HKD 40.8

→ Take a bullet train to Guangzhou South Railway Station

2. Alternative Ferry: 140 minutes, from HKD300

Pazhou ferry to Hong Kong

Hi. Can I go to Hong Kong from Pazhou Ferry to Hong Kong Airport? My flight is few days later.

Yes. The ferry departs at 09:30, 12:00, 15:30 and 17:30 from Pazhou Ferry Terminal. You can pre-book through the WeChat official account of Pazhou Ferry Terminal (Chinese: 琶洲港澳口岸).

How to check which airlines register at ferry terminal?

I am travelling from Guangzhou to Hong Kong by ferry. But My airline is available to register luggage or not at the ferry terminal. How to check this?

You can check whether you enjoy the baggage tag through service which allows you to register luggage at the ferry terminal on the official site of HK Airport. The airlines are listed at the section of Mainland Connection - SkyPier ferry terminal transfer.

Internal transfer by ferry

Hi
I travelling from Guangzhou to Hong Kong 🇭🇰.by ferry and next my flight same day hkg to New Delhi I want to go india because I don’t have HK visa i must go outside Airport or on internal airport transfer for ferry ? Where can get my booked luggage ?thank you

Generally, if you take a ferry from Guangzhou to HK, you don't need to pass through HK immigration. Check if your airline is available to register luggage at the ferry terminal.
