Beijing - Yangshuo Train

At present, through trains are not available between Beijing and Yangshuo.However, passengers can transfer in Guilin to make a high speed train trip between the 2 cities.

A one-way trip on bullet trains from Yangshuo to Beijing or vice versa via Guilin costs at least CNY 829 and takes about 10 - 11.5 hours in general.

The Beijing - Guilin high speed trains are operated at Guilin North Railway Station, while Guilin - Yangshuo high speed trains are available at Guilin/ Guilin North/ Guilin West three railway stations. The Guilin Railway Station and Guilin North are preferred for a transfer as the transportation around Guilin West is not convenient.

The above listed transfers are operated at Guilin North Railway Station which save a transfer time between Guilin Railway Station and North Railway Stations luckily. While if the trains are sold out, you may need a tranfer between the two train stations. Bus No.1 and No.99 are available with the duration of about 1 hour. And it takes about half an hour by taxi with the cost of about CNY 50.

For your information, there is high speed railway connecting Beijing and Yangshuo now, but the bullet trains are not in service yet. China Railway Corporation may operate them in the future when the passengers between the 2 cities reach a certain number.

There are also about 7 - 8 flights from Beijing to Guilin on a daily basis and 5 - 6 flights vice versa, more flights may be added during festivals and holidays. The flight time between the 2 cities is about 3 - 3.5 hours with the prices of an economy ticket changed within the range of CNY 600 - 2,200.

For tourists who want to see the beautiful scenery of the Li River which runs through Guilin and Yangshuo. It is recommended to travel by cruise. The trip on the ship lasts for about 4 - 5 hours normally.

Is Guilin North Station far from West Station.

How much would taxi costs for a group of 6 people?

The distance between 2 stations would be around 7 or 8km, taking 20min by taxi. The costs could be around CNY30, but 6 passengers cannot get into one taxi. You would need two cars.

How can I go from Guilin to Guilin West?

It is not very hard to go by city bus. You can find bus No. 22 near the railway station which can take you to Guilin West Station directly. It should take around 1 hour on the way. If you are tight in time, you may need taxi. Taxi takes around 30 to 40min instead.

Where I can take a bus to Yangshuo?

After I reach Guilin Railway Station all trains to Yangshuo end already. Is there any bus station near railway station I can use instead?

Now, the buses all depart from Guilin South Coach Station. It takes around 40min by bus No. 96 or 25min by taxi from Guilin Railway Station. The last bus to Yangshuo should be at 8:30pm from there.
