A/C available on train 2463 from Datong to Pingyao?

We will be traveling during mid-December, how is the weather?

Yes, there is a/c even on this slow train. Mid December could be very cold in Shanxi, maybe under 0 degrees centigrade even at the noon time.

Which trainstation

We booked the train 2463 from Datong to Pingyao and from Pingyao to Xi'an D2527. Can you please tell us whether these trains start / stop at Pingyao or Pingyao Gucheng?
Do you have an idea where to leave our backpacks while visiting Pingyao (we arrive in the morning and leave the same day in the evening)?

2463 will be stop at Pingyao but D2527 will departs from Pingyao Gucheng, so two different stations. Maybe you can consider to find a hostel in the town to see if they offer luggage storage.

Hello, I have two hard sleeper ticket on train 2463 at 22:31pm to Pingyao.

I want to know if the train usually on time? Is there some broadcast in English for the coming station? I am considering setting up an alarm clock in case I slept over.

Usually the ride runs on time, or at least not a long time delay. You do not need to worry about missing your stop. The staff knows where you are heading to and will wake you up when you need to get off! Surely alarm clock is double assurance!

Hi! If I buy a ticket from Datong to Linfen, can I get off at Pingyao?

It seems tickets are not possible to get on train 2463 to Pingyao directly.

Yes, it is OK to get off at Pingyao in advance if you hold the ticket to Linfen. It would be better if you can inform the staff in advance when they change your paper ticket to boarding pass. In this way, they will know about it and wake you up to turn your paper ticket back before reaching your destination.
