Hankou Railway Station and Wuchang Railway Station are near the city center, but Wuhan Station located at Qingshan District is a little far. Passengers should make it clear for which one to be used, especially for those who need to make a connection in different stations.
The most of K & Z trains are overnight and will get to the destination the next day. By comparison, G type trains take the least time, and then D types. While for overnight types, Z types are better based on their timetable and shorter duration.
Currently, bullet trains between the two cities make a detour in Hefei City, Anhui Province. A direct high speed railway is under construction now. Once completed, it can reduce the duration to three hours only.
