Shanghai to Lijiang Train

There is no direct train from Shanghai to Lijiang for the time being.

To Travel between the two cities,  passengers can take a high speed train from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to Kunming South Railway Station first.

Then transfer to Lijiang Railway Station by high speed trains.

Since there is no ticket for Kunming to Lijiang the day, you need to stay in Kunming for one night and have a rest. If you have enough time, you can visit Kunming on your own arrangement. With beautiful scenery and unique culture, Kunming has many attractions worth your visit, such as the Dianchi Lake and Stone Forest.
 There are about three pairs of flights between Shanghai and Lijiang every day. The fare of an economy class seat ranges from CNY 1,220 to CNY 1,490. It takes 4 to 5 hours to complete a single ride.
 You can take a flight from Shanghai to Kunming, then take an airport shuttle bus line 4 to South Coach Station, then change to subway line 1 to the Kunming South Railway Station. It will take about 1.5 hours on the way. Then you need to take a high speed train to Lijiang.
 The well-preserved Lijiang Old Town used to be the center of Lijiang. It maintains the original flavor of the local lifestyle, the typical architectural style and the profound cultural heritage of the region. It is enriched by well-preserved ancient buildings and Naxi culture.
 The second scenic spot you must see is the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It boasts beautiful and unique scenery, with many rare animals and plants. Besides, it is also a ski resort. If you like exploration and scientific research, this is undoubtedly a must-see attraction.
 Heading north along Square Street of Lijiang Old Town, you will reach Black Dragon Pool. The pool is also called Jade Spring Park, reflecting its endless bubbling clear spring waters. When you get to the park, follow a colorful cobblestone path and you will arrive at a white marble bridge over the emerald river. Its natural scenery is very beautiful and you will have an agreeable experience here for a deep relax.
 Passengers need to transfer at Kunming for trains to Shanghai. There are 10 high speed trains running from Lijiang to Kunming South and 4 Kunming South to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station high speed trains. The duration on the train is around 15.5 hours.
