Currently, there are about 15 pairs high speed trains running from Xi'an North Railway Station/ Xi'an East Railway Station to Wudangshan West Railway Station. Since this route began operating in July 2026, it has greatly improved convenience for tourists traveling to Mount. Wudang, with the entire trip taking only about 1.5 hours. The price for a second class seat is CNY 177 - 199, and a first class seat costs CNY 284 - 318.
Both Xi'an North Railway Station and Xi'an East Railway Station offer direct service to Wudangshan West Railway Station. The East Station has more departures - 9 in total - running from 7:36 to 15:02, while the North Station has 6 daily departures, running from 9:55 to 14:18. Clearly, if you want more flexible scheduling options, Xi'an East Train Station is more recommended.
However, if you don't have requirements about departure times, you can choose the train station based on your hotel's location. Xi'an North Station is located in the northern part of Xi'an and is directly connected to Metro Lines 2, 4, and 14. Xi'an East Station is located in the southeastern part of Xi'an and is accessible via Metro Line 5.
If you make a mistake in booking a ticket for the wrong station, you can transfer between Xi'an East Station and North Station via the metro, which takes about one hour. For your information, trains to Wudangshan West Train Station stop at North Station before arriving at East Station. If you are traveling with large luggage or are in a hurry, prioritize direct high-speed rail services, as some trains allow for transfers between the two stations.
In total, there are about 15 high-speed trains from Wudangshan to Xi'an, running from 9:41 to 21:08. The journey takes about 1.5 - 2 hours. There are no normal-speed trains between these two places.
