Hefei Railway Station

Hefei Railway Station was put into use in 1997. The station is about 8 miles (13 kilometers) from Hefei South Railway Station, 4 miles (6 kilometers) from Memorial Temple of Lord Bao and 27 miles (44 kilometers) from Xinqiao International Airport.

 The station is made up of a two-storey terminal building, the front square (south square) and the north square. There is a special underground passage connecting the two squares.
 2F: waiting room no. 3 and no. 4, toilets, hot drinking water, shops
 1F: waiting room no. 1 and no. 2, ticket office, platforms, toilets, hot drinking water
 -1F: arrival floor, transfer center

  Arrival by metro:
Take metro line 1 or line 3 and get off at the railway station directly.

If arriving by bus, passengers will get off at the north square, front square or west side of the station. For those with a ticket, enter the station directly and read the ticket information carefully to find the correct waiting room to wait for the departure; for those without, the ticket office is located on the first floor. Go there and buy a ticket first and then enter the waiting room.

 Arrival by taxi:
Passengers arriving by taxi will be dropped off at the front square in most cases.
It takes about 30 minutes and costs approximately CNY30 from South Railway Station.
It takes around 25 minutes and costs about CNY15 from Memorial Temple of Lord Bao.
It takes about an hour and costs CNY100 or so from Xinqiao International Airport.

 Arrival by long-distance bus:
To the southeast of the train station, one can find Hefei General Coach Station. Passengers arriving by long-distance bus will get off at the coach station. It is only about 350 yards from the railway station terminal.
 

Queue up to Check Ticket

Before checking-in, passengers should read the relevant information on the LED screens and know where to have their tickets checked. After checking-in, follow the direction signs to the platforms to board. After getting onboard, please put the luggage in the right places steadily within your sight.
 When arriving, passengers will be led to the underground passage to exit. After, go to either of the squares to take the subway, bus or taxi to leave the station.
 
 Leave by long-distance bus:
Hefei General Coach Station is located to the southeast side of the station. Passengers can exit to South Square and go there to take coaches to Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wuhan, Bengbu, Chuzhou, Chizhou, Huangshi, Jiujiang, Wuhu, Xuancheng, etc.

 Transportation to famous sites:
 South Railway Station:
Take metro line 1 to the destination directly.

 Memorial Temple of Lord Bao:
1. Take bus no.119 from Railway Station Bus Stop to Big Bell Tower East, then walk eastward for about 500 yards to get there.
2. Take metro line 1 to Lord Bao Park station, Exit D out. Then, walk about 0.75 miles to the entrance.

 Xinqiao International Airport:
Take airport shuttle bus line 1 to the airport. The whole journey takes about 1.5 hours; ticket fare is CNY 25 per person. The bus runs between 06:00 and 18:20 every 30 to 40 minutes.
  Ticket office:
Ticket office is located on the first floor. Passengers can go there to purchase, change or refund tickets. 

 Waiting hall:
Altogether 4 waiting rooms are provided on the first and second floor in the station. There are toilets and hot drinking water for passengers' convenience.

There is a service desk in the terminal building providing help for the elder, weak, sick and pregnant; meanwhile, passengers can ask for direction or know about schedule from the desk.

 Left luggage:
At the service desk inside the terminal building and the left side of the south exit, one can temporarily store their luggage. Self-service lockers are set 300 meters (328 miles) away from Exit A of the subway station.
