  Nanning Railway Station:

Nanning Railway Station

Located in western area of the city, it provides great convenience for passengers living there. Compared with the East Station, it is closer to the city center. Also, it is easy for passengers to get to attraction sites or other places from here, either by city buses or coaches. Besides, shopping areas can be found around the station.

 Nanning East Railway Station:
It is located in eastern area of the city. For passengers transferring to high speed trains, it is advised to use this station, as most of them are operated here rather than other stations in the city. Although a little far from the city center, city buses, coaches are available here to take passengers to other places.

 1. Currently, there are only one pair of flights between Nanning and Guangzhou, making the travel time not as flexible as rail rides. The ticket fare generally ranges between CNY 500 - 1000 (US$ 70 - 140).
2. The time spending in the air is about 1.5 hours. However, counting in the time to/from the airports, which are far from downtown, as well as time consumed for boarding procedures, the total travel time is about 4 hours. This has no big difference with a high speed rail ride.
3. The train ticket is usually cheaper than a flight ticket.

Therefore, a convenient high speed train is more recommended for your Nanning - Guangzhou tour.
