Traveling in this way, passengers need to transfer between Changsha South Railway Station and Changsha Railway Station by taking bus no. 135, 148, or by subway line 2. A taxi ride takes about 25 minutes and costs CNY 30.
 Aside from a rail ride, passengers can also travel by flights. A flight trip between the two cities takes 2.5 hours or so. Full price for an economy class seat is about CNY 1,400, but discounts may be offered in low seasons when an economy class seat may just cost about CNY 500. However, weather change may easily lead to flight delays or cancellation. Passengers had better check the weather forecast before making a flight trip.

Traveling by normal speed trains will be a preferable choice for budget travelers because it costs less, but the long-distance journey may make tourists feel bored and dog-tired. If they have to travel in this way, a soft or hard sleeper is highly recommended.

High speed trains are welcomed by most travelers. They will save a lot of time compared with normal train trip and are also more punctual compared with flights.
