Cruise Cancellation due to rain and flood
Hi,
I checked that June-July-August is the raining season and the Yangtze area is frequently flooded, but I can only go in June after school is closed. How often the cruise is cancelled due to bad weather? Will I be able to enjoy the scenery of the Three Gorges if it rains for 11 days?
thanks,
Jade

Dear Jade Ko,

According to our experience in recent years, the cruises are seldom cancelled but the itinerary might be adjusted due to the water level from June to August. In this case, the cruise company will make the relevant arrangement for all the passengers properly and the excursion parts of the cruise will not be effected. Thanks for your attention.

I meant to ask whether we can still enjoy the scenery from the cruise. If the visibility is low, we usually do not see anything but rain or misty fog. Isn't that a waste? I don't really care about the shore excursion. We like the River scenery from riding a boat.
Will you please clarify if the weather is usually ok or rainy and foggy in June? Thanks

Dear Jade Ko,

We can not predict the weather condition in the future. But according to our experience, thunderstorms are frequent during summer which causes the river water to rise, especially in July and August. If it rains at that time, the sceneries may not be very good due to the low visibility. You can check the weather forecast in advance or take the cruise at other time to avoid the rainy season if you mind. Thank you.
