Lanzhou Railway Station operates about 18 normal speed trains to Urumqi every day. If the high speed schedule cannot fit your time, normal ones are advised.

To transfer between Lanzhou West Railway Station and Lanzhou Railway Station, you can take subway line 1 with line 2, taking about 0.5 hours. City buses can also be a good way. Currently, city buses 1 and 31 are operated between the 2 stations; a one-way ride takes about 70 minutes. And the route takes about 20 minutes by taxi.A more time-saving way of travelling between Wuhan and Urumqi is travelling by plane. Currently, there are 7 pairs of flights operated between the 2 cities, and the number may be increased in peak season. The economy fares of this route change within the range of CNY 500 - 1,300.
