The distance to your hotel is around 14km. If you take a taxi from hotel, it should be around 30 to 40min. There is also a Nanchuan Bus can be used. The main station is on a totally different direction.

Is there any other ways to travel faster to Hohhot instead of 25 hours train?
Is flight the only possible way? If possible, I want to avoid flight as much as possible. Thanks

Flight is indeed the fastest one and most direct option too, only 3 hours on the way. If you prefer to go by rail/land, you may choose to go to Beijing by high speeds first and then again by sleeper ride to Hohhot. This option still takes a long time, but better than 25 hours trip.
