Xi'an - Harbin Train

At present, only one pair of normal speed trains numbered as K546/K548 is operated between Xi'an Railway Station and Harbin East Railway Station with duration of 33/34.5 hours. They run for a distance of 2,359 kilometers (1,466 miles). A hard sleeper costs CNY 516.5 per person.

If you want to save some time, you may make a high speed train transfer in Beijing. In this way, it totally takes 11.5 – 14.5 hours and a second class seat costs CNY 1,057 per person.

Besides, there are also some direct flights shuttling between the two cities. Usually, it takes about 3 hours and an economy class seat may cost around CNY600 in low seasons. In this case, passengers may choose to travel by flight as it saves a lot of time.

Better choose a hard sleeper or soft sleeper berth

Traveling for such a long-distance journey, passengers should better book a soft sleeper or hard sleeper to ensure a comfortable journey. The sleeper tickets should be booked in advance as they are usually in great demands. Also, you may feel bored during the long journey, it is advised to travel with a companion, bring some snacks, download some videos, or bring some magazines to kill time.

Questions & Answers on Xi'an - Harbin Train
Asked by Graeme Taylor from AUSTRALIA | Aug. 08, 2019 21:30Reply
Xi'an to Harbin train
Are there deluxe soft sleepers on this train. We are a couple and would prefer not to share a sleeping compartment. We booked train travel last year through your company, and was very pleased with the service, and will book again this year. The intended travel date would be somewhere around the 4th of December 2019.

Regards, Graeme Taylor

Thank you for your inquiry.

We are sorry that there is no deluxe soft sleeper for this trip. The best class offered is soft sleeper cabin. You may consider to use deluxe soft sleeper to Beijing first and then change other high speed train to Harbin. Hope this information can help you.
