Hi, could you please explain when i arrive HAK; Haikou airport, and would like to take the train to Sanya, is it possible? Per my understanding, i could take K407 right? Please explain and what is the price? Can I buy it right there at the train station?
Jul. 2,2009 07:38
Mr.Eric(SG) replied:
Hi, Ms. Miaou, as I know, Haikou is not the departure city for the trains heading for Sanya, thus it is a little bit hard for you to take the train. Say, K407, which starts from Guangzhou and it will stops in Haikou only for 12 minutes, time is very tight. The soft seat train charge is CNY84.00 net.
For your flight, when it will land on Haikou? You may consider taking a coach in the airport to the Haikou East Station and then take the direct coach to Sanya, which is much more flexible. Good luck!

Ms.miaou(Thailand) replied:
Thank you for your advice.
Anyway, many said East Station, but some said 'South' Station coz it offers the newer coach. Could you please clarify which is the best along with the price and time table of the coach?
When we arrive there in Sanya, both East and South are parked at the same station for connecting to 'Nanshan Guanyin'? How much for the price taking there to 'Guanyin' or we just take the taxi? (Please advise the suitable price for taxi, if possible)
Thanks again.

Hello:)! I am going to travel to Beijing and later to Anshan. I will take train 2549 from Beijing but I want to know how long the train station is from Beijing International Airport and from Anshan Normal University. Please, Can you help me? Thanks!
Jul. 2,2009 08:47
Mrs.Marcia(MY) replied:
Hello, I had the same experience, say, transfer from the Beijing Capital International Airport to the railway station on my own this January. It goes like this, first, take the airport subway from the airport get Dongzhimen Stop and then take the No. 2 Subway from Dongzhimen Stop, and you will arrive in the railway station soon.
According to what I got from the internet concerning your second question, if you take the train 2549 from Beijing Railway Station, you will arrive in Anshan at 08:00 next morning. After you get there, you can take the No. 232 Bus to Anshan Normal University. While, you can ask the locals if possible, sometimes you may meet people who speak quite good English. Good luck!

Good luck.

Hi! Jeppesen,
You can purchse the tickets in the Ticket Office in the Railway Station and also you can find many satellite ticket offices scattered around the city.

Ms.Young(CN) replied:
Hello, Mr.Jeppesen, which train are you talking about? Generally speaking, the train tickets can be purchased at the local ticket office or the railway station. And it's better to buy the tickets in advance.

Hi Mr. Derek,
I am fine and thank you for your info regarding the train. But from the website (forgot the address) mentioned that the bullet train only take 5 hours from Shanghai to Beijing ? And I could not find the train fare in that site.
Another question is if we arrived in Hangzhou (fly with Air Asia) at late about 22:00 hour, is there any train or taxi go to Shanghai ? How much is the cost ? How about the safety issue for a single (woman) traveller ?
I am sorry asking a lot of questions because I am really the 1st time plan to visit Chin after the official meetings and works.
Jun. 30,2009 02:32
Mr.Stephen(CN) replied:
Now the fastest train from Shanghai to Beijing takes about nine hours and forty-two minutes. The train information is D314 21:41/07:40(the next day) and the train fare for the soft-sleeping berth is between CNY500.00 to CNY600.00. The 5 hours' bullet train is not available now but will be in the future.
Since your flight will land in Hangzhou at late about 22:00. There is no proper train to Shanghai at that time. Also we do not suggest you take taxi to Shanghai at night time for safety reason. You may consider to go back to the city and stay one night in Hangzhou and then catch the train to Shanghai the next day. There are so many trains in the daytime. Hope it helps.

Hello! I would like to visit Hengshan, I stay in Wuhan, is it possible to join Hengshan fron wuhan by train? from which station in Wuhan, and which station near Hengshan?and how long it could take?
Jun. 30,2009 01:47
Mr.Stephen (CN) replied:
There is no direct train from Wuhan to Hengshan. You need to take train to Changsha first, the capital city of Hunan Province, and then catch another train from Changsha to Hengshan. The fastest train takes about 7 hours altogather, but you must get on the train at min-night.
