Day 1 Arrival in Shanghai
Sincere greetings & airport-hotel transfer. Huangpu River Cruise, the Bund and Nanjing Road.

When you arrive in Shanghai, your guide will wait for you at the exit of the airport or railway station holding a welcome board with your name. After a warm greeting, we will start our 4 days Shanghai Hangzhou tour immediately. First, head to Shiliupu Wharf where we will take the cruise to go sightseeing the architectural complex and landscape on both sides of Huangpu River. After that, leave you some free time to explore the Bund, where local people come to have a chat, stroll around or walk the dogs. Then follow the guide to Nanjing Road. It is a shopping paradise and one of the most prosperous streets in Shanghai. Finally, your guide will transfer you to the hotel and help you with the check-in. 
Day 2 Shanghai

After breakfast, we will drive about one hour to Zhujiajiao Water Town, a fan-shaped ancient town. The crisscrossing alleys paved with granites lie on both sides of the river. You will have a deep impression on the ancient architectures and many ancient stone bridges of Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing Dynasties (1644 - 1911) built with blue bricks and black tiles. Here, we will also take a boat to travel from Kezhi Garden to Great North Avenue. It is the most bustling old street in the town with numerous special restaurants and famed shops. You can enjoy a lunch there. As there are so many delicacies to be enjoyed, we will leave the chance for you to pick up your favorites and the guide will be glad to give recommendations. The cost is paid by yourself on the spot. 

After lunch, continue our Shanghai Hangzhou tour to Yu Garden in the downtown area. Yu Garden is a classical Chinese garden built firstly about 450 years ago. Though small in size, it boasts pavilions, corridors, halls, pools and rockeries. The main scenic spots are Great Rockery, Sansui Hall, Cuixiu Hall, Wanhua Chamber, etc. Besides, you can see the carvings of brick, stone and wood and clay sculptures scattering here and there. And several thousands of cultural relics are exhibited there including calligraphies, paintings, ceramics, furniture and so on. Then tour the Yuyuan Bazaar, abundant in local snacks and special souvenirs. The final stop today is Tianzifang. This creative and artistic street is transformed from local Shikumen residences. Many artists have established their studios, art galleries and craft shops here.

Day 3 Shanghai - Hangzhou

In the morning, the guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and transfer you to the railway station for the high speed train to Hangzhou. After arrival about an hour later, you will be met at the exit of the railway station and led to Six Harmonies Pagoda by your local guide. Looking from outside, this 60-meter-high (197-feet-high) pagoda appears to have 13 storeys which is actually 7 storeys inside. Ascending to its top, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Qiantang River Bridge across the rolling Qiantang River and the architectural complex and greening on both riverbanks. Today's lunch is not included in our tour but the guide will help you find some featured local restaurants and food so that you can choose according to your taste.  

Hangzhou Arts and Crafts Museum is our first stop in the afternoon where you can learn to make a painted fan. Then take a boat to Dadoulu Historical Street along the ancient Grand Canal. Tourists can appreciate the ancient buildings here and taste some special local snacks. Finally, the guide will escort you to the hotel and assist you with the check-in.

Day 4 Departure from Hangzhou
West Lake, Lingyin Temple. Airport transfer & see you off. A nice journey home! (B)
West Lake is a must-see tourist attraction in Hangzhou and definitely a highlight of our Shanghai Hangzhou tour. It is divided into the North Inner Lake, Yuehu Lake, West Inner Lake, South Lake and West Outer Lake by Solitary Hill, Su Causeway and Bai Causeway. Around the lake are planted with numerous famous ancient trees and dotted with abundant cultural relics about Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism. In the morning, we will go sightseeing the lake by boat. Then, walk to visit the Viewing Fish at Flower Pond, one of the top ten scenes in West Lake which is characterized by the flowers, harbor and fish. Finally, we are going to the nearby Lingyin Temple. It is China's earliest Buddhist Temple and one of the top 10 ancient temples in China. The temple houses plenty of delicate collections of different dynasties. 

After the tour, you will be transferred to the airport for the onward flight. Hope you have enjoyed a good time with us!
