Beijing Subway Line 8

Beijing subway line 8 is a north-south metro line connecting Zhuxinzhuang in the northern Changping District and Yinghai in the southern Daxing District. Often referred to as Beijing's "Underground Central Axis," it traverses key urban areas including the National Stadium, historic hutong neighborhoods like Shichahai and Nanluoguxiang, and central business districts such as Wangfujing and Qianmen.

The line was fully completed and became entirely operational on November 8, 2025, with the opening of the Dahong Men Station. Now, it is 51.6 km (32.1 mi) in length, containing 35 stations.
