Travel China Guide organized our individual 16-day trip to China on the route Beijing - Shanghai - Luoyang - Shaolin - Xi'an - Chongqing - Zhangjiajie - Guilin - Yangshuo - Hong Kong. We were 4 women and relied entirely on Emily Xin's professional experience to draw up the itinerary, purchase train tickets between the cities, tours and book hotels. Emily was always available and answered all our questions extremely quickly and accurately, gave very accurate instructions and information. Special thanks to Emily, as she made our trip a reality and a dream come true. Thank you Emily! The hotels were wonderful (4 stars) with nice breakfasts, suitable for Europeans; the cars were new, comfortable and clean, water was provided, and the drivers were smiling and polite. I would like to specially thank to all ours guides - Selina, Bonnie, Kelly, Tracy, Yolin and Kim, who were with us and made our stay in China charming. They are incredible professionals and we congratulate them warmly and heartily! Once again, thank you for the excellent organization of our trip and I will highly recommend your company to all our relatives and friends! We will definitely return to China someday, as there is still so much to see and we will definitely trust your company and Emily again! Many many thanks!

Overall, we had a good experience. We would have loved to see a little more of the city of Beijing instead of just seeing the major attractions. Our guide in Beijing is very friendly. It would help if she spoke a bit louder.
Celine and Bella were very informative and helpful who arranged for someone to pick up all our luggage while at the train station. Of course we didn’t mind paying extra for the service. It could be hectic for 4 seniors fighting for a place to store our luggage. We received priority boarding. We were happy with all of our drivers, Mr Han. Mr Tung and Mr Chan. Although not all meals were included, we love the flexibility to make our own choices. We would definitely travel with you again and recommend to friends and relatives.

I had a wonderful time on the TravelChinaGuide tours. We did the half day terracotta warriors tour in XiAn with Lily, Beijing day trip with Rocky, and Guilin-Yangshuo 3 day tour with Monica.

All of our guides were helpful, very knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English. I had a great time and learnt a lot.

In Guilin, the tour company organised great hotels and a driver for us as well. It went very smoothly - no problems at all. Would definitely recommend this tour company.

Absolutely outstanding tour. All guides except one were exceptional. The other was good. The guides were knowledgeable, helpful, and flexible. Having drivers really facilitates the trip. Having personal guides and drivers for just the two of us is the way to travel. Agate Travel kept up with what was always happening. The hotels were nice. All the people that we met were very friendly and welcoming. My wife is legally blind and has limited mobility. I must eat gluten free and dairy free. Options were always available for us. The only problem with the trip is that it was supposed to be dry season, but it rained all but two days. We had rain gear and were able to keep going. Based upon our experience we recommend Agate Travel trips. Five stars.

I am strongly recommended you use www.travelchinaguide.com to travel in China. This year was the fifth time we used their service since 2016. They provide excellent travel experience.
We had our family as a group to travel to Shangxi 10 days in Sept 2025. Our tour guide was Miller. He had excellent knowledge of Shangxi's history and culture. He delivered with enthusiasm and creativity. His communication skills were strong, clear, and active listening to our concern.

Very good organization, efficiency and careful attention to the details of the trip.

We were really fortunate to have Emily Xin serving as our travel consultant in the planning of our 7-day private Chengdu-Chongqing tour completed recently. My family of 3 travelled through china for a month from shanghai, beijing, xi'an, chengdu, zhangjiajie, and guangzhou including a short cruise seeing the three gorges dam.
From start to finish, we were very impressed. The tour guides spoke great english and two guides very good cantonese. We saw all the sites without feeling too rushed, except for parts of Beijing--but that was due to Golden week coming up. The accomodations were excellent for 3-star options, nearly every one was in a walkable part of the city.
Special thanks to Nicole, out trip organizer who had to re-plan everything a year later due to one of our member's passport snaffu.

Wendy helped us plan for our 7-day private tour with such devotion from the get go. She was really helpful and prompt in her response. Everything was well organised and nothing was left to chance.

Our tour guides all spoke good English. Joy was fun and caring; she attended to all our needs in Chengdu & Leshan without any prompting like bringing me special tea sachets for my cough which was much appreciated. Mr Yang & Amy, our tour guides in Chongqing, were both excellent. They were very knowledgeable and provided good insights into the historical and cultural aspects of the places we visited. Our hotels were all excellent except for Grand Hyatt Chengdu which was a bit dated and our room had a musky smell and poor soundproofing. We also had really good and safe drivers and their cars were all really clean and comfortable.

We had a really good experience overall and we would happily engage TravelChinaGuide for our next China holiday.

We just returned from a 5 day custom trip to China, visiting Beijing and Xi’an, and it was an unforgettable experience thanks to an outstanding team of guides, drivers, and coordinators.

From the very beginning, Wendy Lee, our overall travel coordinator, made the experience seamless. Her communication while creating our custom itinerary was excellent — she was responsive, attentive to our preferences, and ensured every detail of the trip was tailored perfectly to our needs.

In Beijing, we were incredibly fortunate to have Fen, our phenomenal driver. She was always early, greeted us each morning with a warm smile, and navigated the busy city streets with calm precision. Her professionalism, kindness, and cheerful presence added so much comfort and enjoyment to our time in Beijing.

We also had two wonderful guides — Li Wen Quan and Tom — who made the city’s rich history come alive.
   •   Li Wen Quan led us through the Great Wall and the Summer Palace, sharing fascinating stories and insights that deepened our appreciation for both sites.
   •   Tom guided us through Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven, blending deep historical knowledge with an engaging, personable style that made the day both educational and fun.

In Xi’an, our guide Rita was equally outstanding. She managed to fit so much into one amazing day — from the awe-inspiring Terracotta Warriors to a walk along the Xi’an City Wall and the bustling Muslim Street. Her passion for history and enthusiasm made the entire day flow beautifully and left us with incredible
memories.
