Train Tickets for 2025 National Day Holiday to be Available since September 17, 2025

This year, the travel rush around National Day and Mid-Autumn Day begins on September 29 and ends on October 10, lasting for 12 days. China railway is expected to send 219 million passengers in total, and October 1 will see the peak passenger flow, the ticket for which will be available since September 17, 2025.

Eleven High Speed Rail Lines to Be Opened by the End of 2025

By the end of 2025, 11 newly-constructed high speed rail lines will be opened, with a total length of 2,538 kilometers (1,577 miles). By then, China is expected to have a high speed railway network with an overall length of more than 50,000 kilometers (31,069 miles).
With the opening of Chongzuo - Pingxiang section of Nanning - Pingxiang High Speed Railway, passengers will be able to travel between Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Pingxiang, an important port with Vietnam, in only about 1.5 hours. In the future, this railway may be extended, crossing the border to connect China with Vietnam.
The operation of Guangzhou - Zhanjiang high speed railway will also shorten the travel time of bullet trains running between from 2.5 hours to around 1.5 hours.
Other high speed rail lines to be opened include Xi'an - Yan'an, Wuhan - Yichang, Jiande - Quzhou, Xiangyang - Jingmen, Shenyang - Baihe, Baotou - Huinong, Panzhou - Xingyi, Hefei - Sixian, and Wenling - Yuhuan high speed railways.
