Chongqing City-Bus

About 660 bus lines serve in the urban areas of Chongqing, conveniently sending passengers to attractions, transportation hubs and commercial areas, etc. 
 Most of the air-conditioned buses charge CNY2 while those without air-conditioners charge CNY1, no matter how long you take the bus. 

A few buses charge according to distance. The longer you take the bus, the higher the ticket fare. In this condition, the fare for ordinary buses varies from CNY1 to 3.5 and for air-conditioned ones from CNY2 to 10 in general.
Nowadays, the Chongqing city bus ticket fare can be paid by cash or transportation card. Those who plan to stay in Chongqing for a while are suggested to purchase a local transportation card. With the card, passengers can generally enjoy 10% discount off when taking the city bus. If pay by cash, you are advised to prepare some loose change in advance. There is usually no ticket seller on board. When you get on the bus, just drop your cash into the metal box or swipe your transportation card.
 Normally, most buses run from 05:30 to 22:00, while the overnight buses run from around 22:00 to 06:30 the next day.

To Yangtze River Cable Car: 
1. Take bus no.414, 440, 503, T002 or T480A and get off at Xiawang Longmen Station. Then walk north for around 50 meters (55 yards).
2.Take bus no. 414, 440, 553 or T040 to get to Huguang Huiguan Bus Stop. Then walk southwest around 150 meters (165 yards) to find the destination. 

To Ciqikou: Take bus no. 209, 215, 237, 501, 503, 504, 553 or 805 to Jinbi Street Bus Stop. Then walk east for around 200 meters (220 yards) to arrive at Ciqikou.

To Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum: Take bus no.145, 152, 181, 262, 322, 338, 829, 862 or 881 and get off at Xuetianwan Bus Stop. Next, walk northeast for around 200 meters (220 yards) to arrive at the destination.

To Chaotianmen Dock: Take bus no.503, T002, T025 to Chaotianmen No.9 Pier Bus Stop. Or you can take bus no.181, 382, 503, 553, 871 and get to Chaotianmen public transport hub directly.

To People's Assembly Hall: Take bus no. 145, 152, 181, 262, 322, 338, 421, 829, 862, 881, T480A, or T480B to Dalitang Station directly.

To Jiefangbei CBD: Take direct bus no. 462, 465, T001, T025, T041, T480A or T480B and get to Jiefangbei Bus Stop. 

To Hongya Cave: Take bus no. 105, 111, 135, 401, 461 and get off at Xiaoshizi Bus Stop. After that, walk west around 100 meters (110 yards) to find the destination.

  Any traveler can purchase a Transportation Card without a passport, ID card or any other documents; there is a service fee of CNY25, with CNY1 per month deducted.

 You can buy a card at designated points such as bus stations, subway stations and offices of Transportation Card Company.

 Only cards bought at an office of the Transportation Card Company can be returned after use. The balance and the remainder of the service fee on the card will be refunded. In addition, you will be charged CNY5 per card as depreciation. Cards bought at subway stations cannot be returned.

1. Wifi service is available on some bus lines. Passengers need to have a China mobile phone number to link to the Wifi.
